Global smartphone brand Vivo has launched its new smartphone, the V50 Lite, in the local market. The handset was unveiled at a grand event attended by popular star and brand ambassador Tahsan Rahman Khan.
Launched on Saturday (19 April), the new smartphone combines an ultra-slim design with strong performance. Measuring just 7.79 mm in thickness and weighing 196 grams, the Vivo V50 Lite includes a large 6,500 mAh battery, offering long-lasting usage while maintaining style and comfort.
Featuring a high-gloss metal frame and ultra-slim bezels, the device’s 6.77-inch FHD 2.5D POLED display delivers a vivid visual experience. The phone comes in two colour options — Titanium Gold, inspired by desert twilight, and Phantom Black, offering an elegant look.
The display supports a 120Hz Ultra Vision refresh rate, ensuring smooth scrolling, gaming and video playback. It also provides brightness up to 1,800 nits and SGS-certified low blue light protection to help reduce eye strain.
The 6,500 mAh BlueVolt battery, combined with 90W FlashCharge technology, allows fast charging and extended backup. The device also supports reverse charging, reducing dependence on power banks. According to Vivo, the battery retains more than 80% capacity even after five years of use.
For durability, the phone offers military-grade protection, five-star drop resistance and reinforced shield glass capable of withstanding 20% more impact. It also carries an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance.
Powered by the Snapdragon 685 processor, the smartphone provides smooth performance for gaming, multimedia and daily tasks. In photography, it features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor with Aura Light Portrait technology for improved low-light photos, along with a 32-megapixel front camera for clear selfies.
Speaking at the launch, Vivo Bangladesh Marketing Director David Lee said the company aims to provide premium design and advanced technology at a reasonable price. He described the V50 Lite as a balanced combination of powerful features, stylish design and an enhanced camera experience.
The Vivo V50 Lite is priced at BDT 29,999 for the 8GB + 8GB extended RAM with 128GB storage variant, while the 256GB storage version is priced at BDT 32,999 in Bangladesh.
